FAQ's:

1. Is there a free trial?

Yes — 30 days, every feature, 100 AI credits, and no card needed to start. We'll also give you a free 30-minute onboarding call if you'd like one.

2. What happened to the free plan?

We retired it. The old free plan couldn't scan a single receipt or use any AI, which meant it didn't show you what Balabook actually does. A 30-day trial with the full product and 100 credits is a fairer way to decide. If you're an accountant, your access to your clients' accounts is still free and always will be.

3. Why don't the plans have different features?

Because we couldn't think of a good reason for them to. Holding back VAT or payroll until someone pays more is a pricing trick, not a product decision. You pick a plan based on how many people need access and how much AI you'll use — everything else is the same.

4. What counts as an AI credit?

One credit scans one page. A quick question costs one credit, sending a simple invoice three, a bigger job like preparing an analysis six. There's a full breakdown above.

5. Do credits roll over?

No. Credits included in your plan and any extra credits you buy are both used within the month — neither carries over.

6. What if I run out of credits?

Buy more from €0.06 each, or move up a plan. The rest of Balabook carries on as normal while you decide.

7. Can I change plan later?

Any time, up or down, in Company Settings → Billing. Annual gets you two months free.

8. Is the price per company or per account?

Per company. You can run as many companies as you like from one login, and each one has its own plan.

9. Does my accountant need to pay for a seat?

No. Accountant access is free on every plan. We're not going to charge you for working with your accountant.

10. What's the difference between Complete and Custom?

Complete is for a business that wants an accountant to do its books — we introduce you to a licensed Cyprus firm and you pay one monthly price for the software and the service together. Custom is for an accounting practice that wants to run Balabook across its own client book, with pooled credits and deployment options.

11. Can I use Balabook on my phone?

Yes. Balabook is cloud-based and works on any device, and there's a mobile app.

12. How is my data protected?

Your financial data is encrypted and access is controlled by role, so people only see what they should. Data is hosted in the EU.

13. Can I bring my data across from another system?

Yes. You can import your data yourself, and we offer custom migration support if your books need a hand.
